A conceptual publication, combining two unrelated themes; politics and cooking.
The purpose of this publication design is to visually communicate the chaotic mishmash of information given about Brexit through the media, juxtaposing the rigid, clear instructions seen in stereotypical cookbook design.
The dismantled, illegible typography and grid structures serve as a metaphor for the confusion and contradictions surrounding changes to food importation and exportation as a result of Brexit.
Through fashion photography, the images are styled and art directed to contrast British 'glamour' seen in the media, with the chaos that occurs behind the scenes; a metaphor for the concealed ugly truth hidden by politicians. Red, white and blue lighting is implemented in the imagery. The models are also styled with red, white and blue accessories and nail colour.
